From his remix projects under his "F*** Me I'm Famous" moniker to his Essential Mix on BBC's Radio One, which
was absofuckinglutely wicked. David Guetta has been very busy.
Fourth single from his Guetta Blaster album, The World Is Mine is uplifting house at its best. Nice chugging
beats with that constant reminder, telling you the indeed the world is his. Some hate it but I love it.
Five mixes are spread over two vinyls.
1st Vinyl
Blackstrobe remix - Strongly influenced by Depeche Mode, Blackstrobe’s electro really comes into its
own. Progressive synths, ominous riffs and a Dave Gahan style vocal chanting ‘mine, the world is
mine’, the mix builds and builds before collapsing in a predictable but nonetheless fantastic
breakdown before taking off for two more minutes of thumping electro-house action. Excelent!
Album Version - No Comment.
Antoine Clamaran dub - A surprisingly disappointing remix from the Prince of Tribal. After doing so
many great tribal influenced remixes, I guess the frenchman decides to give this one a miss.
2nd Vinyl
Deep Dish remix - Deep Dish’s remix seems to appear on most mainstream jocks tracklist. Think 'Tiga -
Pleasure from the Bass' bassline with drumbeats from their 'Muhammad is Jesus - Deep Dish Daddy
Cool Remix' tune plus interesting synths and riffs. My favourite of the lot.
F*** Me I'm Famous mix - A little monotonous. The intro is nicely laid for those who prefers
long mixing, then BAM, comes in the guitar riff breakdown which is followed by the repetitive bars and vocal chanting
'The World Is Mine' chorus. Best played at the end of one's set.
7/10 for the first vinyl & 9/10 for second.
